Hi and welcome to week 30!

I slept okay last night after gaming. I stayed up and finished my book, then tossed and turned for a while. Of course Fiks fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow basically. Once I got to sleep I was fine, it was the getting there which was the problem. I slept fine until very loud obnoxious cars started racing down the street, and the big diesel truck that lives below us was running for a few minutes before they left. I finally gave up around 920 and got up and made cinnamon rolls for everyone. Fiks was already up and playing Breath of the Wild so I started working on this. After cinnamon rolls were delivered I watched Fiks play for a while, then I snuggled down on him and fell asleep. So much for going to the grocery store this morning.

I woke up and basically hung out with Fiks on the sofa. I did start a load of laundry, so that was somewhat productive. I started a new book, so my nose has been stuck in that all afternoon. When it was time I poked Fiks and we went over to my Brother’s house for family dinner. BBQ chicken, corn, rice, salad and broccoli. Oh, and bell peppers which I totally forgot about, but I could barely finish what was on my plate. I didn’t finish my chicken so we brought that home.

My stomach got really upset so Fiks and I came home and he was awesome and did the recycling and garbage while I rested and let my stomach try to settle. I read my book while Fiks was on his computer for a while. Then he turned on YouTube so we watched that for a while before turning to Dropout and watching a few things on there before I went to bed.

I woke up at 2 different times with these two songs stuck in my head, so guess you get a twofer again this week. I didn’t sleep the best last night, and I woke up stupid early for some reason. I turned a show on on my phone and let that play while I tried to get some more sleep. I got up with Fiks and grabbed a few cookies for breakfast and then I went and got ready to go riding.

Yes, I’m kinda yanking on her face, yes, I feel bad about it.

After riding Fiks and I went to the grocery store and got what we needed for the week, grabbed some lunch from Panda Express and came home. I ran over what my parents asked me to get over to them while Fiks was amazing and put the rest of the groceries away. We sat down and watched some YouTube videos before Fiks jumped on the Switch to play Tears of the Kingdom. I was browsing Facebook when I saw something regarding the new Indiana Jones movie. I asked Fiks if he had gaming with his other group tonight, he said no, so I asked him if he wanted to go see the movie, and he said yes. I got us tickets and settled down and watched him play, napped, and read a book.

We wanted to go out for dinner, but not quite sure where. We ended up going to Togo’s for dinner, we ate it there then we went to the movie theater and sat down.

No body but bad guys died. I teared up at one point when I thought Indy was going to die, but that was it. It was waayyy better than the last one. It felt like a classic Indy movie. Afterwards we came home and I jumped on my phone for a little bit after moving the laundry around and then it was time to go to bed.

I had a hard time getting to sleep last night because it was so bloody warm. I got up and moved to the sofa and joined Fiks for a while before going back to bed and taking a heavy knock out pill. And ohh boy, did I get knocked out. I slept until Fiks woke me up to say goodbye, and then he was laughing at me because I was telling my phone to shut up. I had a really hard time waking up, but I did get up and then I had some breakfast, got dressed, made my lunch and left for work.

I got to work okay, and just started my day. It wasn’t great. Wasn’t horrible either. It was just a day. I did the call backs and for some reason they kept handing them off to a different person when they would call back. We had like 3 different check on a dog with a broken leg call backs, and one emergency leg amputation, all from the ER down the street from us. I got to leave a little after 5, and I swung by the pharmacy on my way home.

I was greeted by Lumi, my Sister, and Poppa when I got home. They were taking Lumi for a walk. Poppa had gotten bit or stung by something on his hand, and it was all red and swollen. I gave him some Benadryl to help and went over and said hi to Mom. I then came home and took a shower and flopped on the sofa for a while and watched Doctor Who. I’d randomly head over to my Sisters to check on my Parents. Everyone was in a mood over there and it was effecting my mood too. I came home and had a snack tray for dinner and waited for Fiks to get home from work. He didn’t get home until after 9.

Last night was rough. I couldn’t sleep. I came out and found Fiks on the sofa at 145 am. I couldn’t get back to sleep one Fiks came to bed and passed out within moments of hitting the pillow. I went to the spare bed instead of the sofa because I didn’t want to be on the sofa. I shut the door behind me and cried. I didn’t really sleep, I just tossed and turned and watched Downton Abby on my phone until I did get to sleep, which was apparently the time Fiks came by to say goodbye. Do not remember that. I remember yelling at my phone to shut up when the alarms started going off. I got up and had some breakfast and then I went and got dressed. Thankfully today I didn’t have to make lunch because it’s only a half day.

I got to work okay, I said hi to everyone and started on almost the full page list of call backs. Shit, I never did go up and say I was doing the callbacks. The files weren’t coming back straight away, so V started throwing a fit when there were multiple files in the slots. We had people showing up super early, or not all. The dryer for the clinic died during lunch, so no warm towels/blankets for the pets to snuggle into after surgeries/procedures. After that it was my time to leave, so I did. I came home, got changed, and turned on Tangled. I just wanted something fun and happy after a crappy night.

I tried taking a nap but wasn’t successful. I went over to my Sister’s after the movie and I was voluntold to take Mom to Knit Wits for dinner tonight. Fine. I went home and watched some more Doctor Who before taking Mom to see her friends. I came back home and just stayed inside. After getting tired of Doctor Who I turned to Hot Fuzz and watched that until Fiks came home. We finished the movie together and went to bed.

I had a hard time getting to sleep. I jumped into a hot shower, didn’t work. I ate a few cookies, didn’t work. I ended up taking a hot bath for 30 minutes and started falling asleep in the tub, so I got out and then went to bed. I slept fine once I got there. Fiks woke up with me and my alarms, and rushed out of the house to get to work. I got out of bed and got dressed, made some breakfast and packed my lunch before heading down the mountain.

I got to work okay, so yay. I changed into my work shoes and went inside. I was up front all day today, so that was a nice change. But by the end of the day my ass was sore from sitting all day. I did get up and do stuff and move around, I just don’t think I’m used to sitting that long at work. I got to play with Benny and Bash when there was down time, so that was fun. There is someone looking to rehome a 8 week old English Bulldog female. Another potato. T and I closed up the clinic and then I made my way home.

I went over to my Sister’s to check on my Parents and they had had a good day. So that was a nice change to come home to. After a while I came home and then I took a shower and afterwards flopped on the sofa and watched Great British Bake Off: The Professionals. Poppa invited me back over for some freshly BBQ’d chicken legs and salad. I took mine and Fiks’ home, so we could eat together once he got home. He texted me he was on his way home at a decent time tonight, so I just waited for him to get home. When he was, we sat down and had dinner and watched some YouTube videos and then he started playing Tears of the Kingdom. When it was time I went and brushed my teeth and went to bed.

I slept okay last night. I woke up with Fiks kissing me goodbye. I felt like he was a little angry with me when he left, but it could just be my bed brain acting up. I got up and got dressed and went and had breakfast before heading down to work. I got there and after changing into my work shoes, went and got some water and punched in. Benny and Bash were sleeping when I walked into reception, so I didn’t say hi for a while. And the phone was just ringing off the hook today. And it felt like I checked almost everyone in. But it was a good day, and I did get some Starbucks after tasing my water and it tasted cold, but weird.

I came home and went over and checked on my Parents. They’d had a busy morning and were working on laundry, and Mom had PT coming at 2-230 today also. I came home and had some lunch and then watched Cutthroat Kitchen for a while. I watched some British Bake Off the professionals for a while, went and checked on my parents. Still no sign of the PT lady. Came back home and had Cutthroat kitchen on in the background while I scrolled through Instagram and Facebook.

After a while I went back and checked on my Parents and the dog, who I took for a walk. I almost tripped over him going d own the stairs because he keeps stopping to smell something. Came home, Cutthroat kitchen some more while scrolling and then I went and cleaned the kitchen with Coco on in the living room and listening to the Ralph Report. I feel very ADD and bored tonight.

Fiks didn’t get home until almost 10. I stayed up a little bit before I started nodding off and went to bed. Then when I wanted to sleep I couldn’t so I went and snuggled Fiks on the sofa and slept on him for a while before we went to bed.

I slept okay for a little bit on Fiks and then I woke up super itchy and had to take a shower. But I was able to get back to sleep after my shower, so that was good. I woke up when Fiks kissed me goodbye and then I tossed and turned, grumbling at the phone when my alarms started going off. I got up and got dressed and placed an order at Starbucks and hit them up for my order on my way to work.

I got to work okay, and found out there were donuts to be had in the back. I went and got a glazed and then I got to work. I helped with putting paper clips in the folders, and I called someone that I screwed up appointment wise and got that fixed. It just seemed like I was screwing up left and right today. I need to slow down when I’m up front. But the day went by fast, and was a nice chill steady pace.

After work I went and saw Fiks and took him the leftover donuts. I stole one since he was going to leave it out for his employees since he’d just had lunch. We sat down and talked for a little bit and then I left to come home. It’s 90°F outside right now, so I’m curled up with an ice tea and a bag of chips on the sofa watching tv.

After a rest I went and helped my Parents out for a little bit before coming back home and flopping on the sofa. I was just about to fall asleep when Poppa came knocking on my door to get a ride to church. My Sister met him there so I was able to drop him off and come home and watch Mom. After my Sister and Poppa came back I walked home and ordered dinner (classic gaming food: pizza).
