Hi and welcome to week 47!

I slept pretty well last night. I woke up around 7 and just tossed around for almost an hour before getting up and having some cookies and then I moved to the sofa and watched Kung Fu Panda 2. And then I fell asleep. I didn’t wake up until almost 10. Then I called my parents to say good morning and see how they were doing. They were good, we’re doing dinner over at there house tonight, so that’ll be fun. I went and checked on Fiks and he was awake but still lying in bed. I went and snuggled with him for a few minutes before heading back to the sofa and started working on my math homework.

My Brother and Sister came over and knocked on my door and asked if I needed help loading the filing cabinets into the truck.  I said sure and so we moved vehicles around and got the filing cabinets and Poppa’s safe loaded in the back of the truck. I was putting Fiks’ car back into the garage when his music suddenly turned on because his blue tooth connected to his phone. This is what he was listening to. Scared the living crap out of me.

Fiks came down after I parked his car and was laughing at me. I told him it spooked me and he just laughed. We took out the garbage cans and then I moved the truck into the garage after emptying some tea bottles into the recycling can and closed the garage. We came back up and Fiks was cleaning up the kitchen ❤ I asked if he needed help and he said no. I went back to my math homework and worked on that for a while. I had a few typos and a few problems I didn’t understand how they got the answer, so I didn’t get the best score. But the nice thing is that you’re able to go back and do it as many times as you want. I went back and did the problems again, making sure there were no typos and somehow figured out the answers that I was having problems with.

My Sister texted me that she needed help moving something, so I finished my math and went over. We moved a shelving unit from inside down to the garage. I rolled my ankle which hurt like a mother. I hobbled the shelving unit down the stairs and then put it down and just walked on it and it feels better now. We took some shelves off the unit and then we added wheels and I moved it to the back of the garage. Then I came back home and got distracted and started working on this while listening to music. I need to go back to math homework now.

I worked on math homework for a long time, especially since we are doing both sections tomorrow so we have an extra day to prep for Thanksgiving. Or in my case, sleep in. When it was time I went and got dressed and so did Fiks, and we went and headed to 100. My Brother was already there, and we watched what was left of the 49ers game. 49ers ended up winning. Yay!

Then we worked on unloading the file cabinets. My Brother just wanted some tractor time, so he hopped on that and we did a few things before unloading the filing cabinets into the garage. We got one placed and we were in the process of moving the other one my Sister came out and said we were putting them in the house after all. So we took the one in the tractor to the front of the house and unloaded it, then my Brother and Fiks loaded up the next one. Poppa and I cleaned up the room they were going in and then we moved them in. Then Fiks, my Brother, Poppa, and myself all worked on cooking dinner – TACOS!!!!

They turned out pretty good. We did some sautéed onions with them and had a some meat with taco seasoning and some meat with fajita seasoning in it. After dinner was apple pie and ice cream. My Brother was contacted by his work and had to go so he could go home and do remote tech support. Fiks and I helped cleaned up the kitchen and then we left and came home. I flopped on the sofa and spent the night watching Big Bang, and Fiks jumped onto his computer and played Cyberpunk.

I slept pretty well last night, only waking up once around 5, and then I put on the Great British Baking Show and slept to that until my alarms went off. I only know they went off because I heard the vibration on top of my kindle, not that the song was loud or anything. It was a soft instrumental song, so I probably would have slept through it if I hadn’t heard the vibrations. I got up and moved to the sofa after grabbing a few cookies because I forgot to put protein shakes in the fridge. I watched Big Bang to wake up and then I jumped onto my computer and went to class/group.

We decided to crank out both sections so we didn’t have to meet tomorrow so we were able to focus on stuff for Thanksgiving tomorrow. The first section was hard, and then the second section was easier. After we were done I had a session with a councilor to make sure that I was on track to apply for the vet tech program in April. Apparently I need to take 2 classes next quarter because I was missing an American Cultures class. I thought I took one at my first college but I guess it doesn’t count/transfer over, which sucks. So I’m taking Women’s studies. Its online, so that should make it more manageable rather than going to another class on campus. I couldn’t find any for the days I was already on campus after my microbiology class.

Once Fiks was up and running we went and did some errands. We went and picked up his contact lenses and then we went to the grocery store. We got what we needed for the week and a few things for my parents house and for Thanksgiving. Then we swung by Panda Express and got some food for lunch. We came home and ate lunch and I took a nap that I wasn’t planning on. Fiks stayed on the sofa and watched something on YouTube about Boulders Gate III.

I woke up at the end of the video (typical for me), and I just basically stayed there the rest of the day. I worked on this, oh, I did some math homework. I did a lot of math homework, getting very frustrated with it because I would copy the answer from the wrong question and put it back in exactly the next time around and it would still BE WRONG!! I gave up after a while and just powered through it and finished that section and just watched some TV and Big Bang for a while before heading to bed when it was time.

I got to sleep in this morning. I slept in until around 10 and then I went and got my shake out of the fridge and moved to the sofa and flopped there for a while. I couldn’t really go anywhere until the food for Thanksgiving showed up, so I just watched Big Bang until the boxes arrived. I cleaned up around the sofa, making it look tidier. Of course they would show up while I was eating lunch, and it was 2 boxes, I was just expecting 1 big one like usual. I finished my lunch and got dressed and moved the boxes into the truck and went to 100.

When I left GPS said one way to 100 was only 1 minute slower via the freeway vs backroads. 1 minute isn’t bad, so I took the freeway. Wish I took the backroads, it added almost an extra 10 minutes to my drive going to the freeway. I got to 100 and grabbed Poppa after saying hello to Mom, Lumi and Poppa to grab the boxes out of the truck. We took them into the kitchen and started unpacking. We got everything into the fridge and then I hung out with Mom for a little while, during which time Poppa was puttering around the house. I left after and hour, hoping to get a nap in before my Brother-In-Law, D, showed up. Nope, he got done earlier than expected at lunch. I waited for him to show up and we made his bed, then I introduced him to Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse.

Love that movie.

Then we watched some TV after that waiting for Fiks to get home. We ordered pizza for dinner and just hung out. Oh, we watched Game Changer for a while, before D crashed and went to bed. A few minutes later Fiks came home and D was out cold. I asked Fiks for help with something with financial aid for school just to discover we make too much for me to qualify. Grrrr. So frustrating. Because I know that on my own I’d qualify, but since we do our taxes together now I don’t. I went to bed after a while and Fiks started playing Balders Gate III with his friends, and I heard D get up right when I was falling asleep.

I slept pretty well for me last night, only waking up once. I got up with my alarms and grabbed my shake and watched some Big Bang while waking up. I got up and got dressed for work, and then I packed myself a lunch and some Gatorade and then I went down the mountain to work. I was got there a little before 830, which was okay. I got punched in and puttered around for a little while before getting to the call backs. I left messages with most of the people, which was fine. I think I only talked to 2 or 3 people out of 12. I was working on the callbacks when the new girl, E, started pouring nuts out onto a paper towel next to me. I backed up and asked her to put them away because I have a really bad nut allergy. She gave me attitude back about not knowing that and asked how bad. I said I carry epee pens because of it and I started itching a few minutes later just from breathing them, so that sucked.

I was helping with appointments for my doctor and tech appointments, when we got a dog who had very difficult to express anal glands. I got them mostly expressed, but I couldn’t get them all the way empty. A went in and finished the job, but I must have gotten the smell stuck up my nose because I smelt it everywhere. If it did go away I’d go back to treatment and someone would inevitably be working on anal glands, so I’d get the smell stuck up my nose again. It was an anal gland kind of day. We were busy pretty much all morning, and then busy all afternoon. I left around 5 and came home.

D was PTFO’d in his room, so I went and took a shower, and I finally got rid of the smell of anal glands (yay!). I don’t know if they were on my scrubs or what, but I still smelt them when I hopped into the shower and was out of my scrubs. I called my parents when I was done and they were doing okay. D woke up when I came out of our room and we sat down and talked and watched TV for a while while waiting for Fiks to come home. Once he was home and cleaned up we went and got sushi for dinner. I forgot to take a picture of the food, but it was good. Afterwards we went and got ice cream, then the boys went and got beer.

D had let it slip that he hadn’t seen Ghosbusters, so I put that on once we got home and settled. The boys started playing Baulders Gate III and I scrolled through Instagram and Facebook while watching the movie. I went to bed when I started dozing and went and read for a while before trying to fall asleep.

I did not sleep well last night. For some reason I pulled the lamp on over on top of myself. I knocked all my stuff off the lamp in doing so. I couldn’t sleep so I reached for another melationin and I knocked over the bottle without a lid behind my bedside dresser. I tried sleeping and was just wide awake, so I braved moving to the sofa. I talked with my Cousin for a little while and then I put on Kung Fu Panda, which I normally fall asleep too straight away. Nope, I watched most of the movie. Then I put on GBBO and fell asleep to that. I woke up a little bit when D came out of his room, which is fine, because I was able to get back to sleep. I woke up again around 9 and D was on the other sofa watching the show.

We chatted a little bit before I offered cinnamon rolls for breakfast, which he was very happy about. I was hoping the smell would wake Fiks up but it didn’t. Its 1030 and he’s still asleep. Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving.

❤ my some Doctor Who. David Tennant and Sylvester McCoy have to be my favorite Doctors. Thanks again to Fiks who re-introduced me to the show when we started dating. I went and woke Fiks up around 11, and he got up and out of bed and dressed while I was straightening my hair. I threw on a dress and had Fiks zip me up and then we went and hung out in the living room and Fiks ate his cinnamon roll. I tried to talk him into the second one but he didn’t have any interest.  When it was time we all got up and going over to my parents house after I made sure I (thought) had everything. We figured out almost at 100 that we forgot a few things for Fiks’ Pretzels. But my parents had enough of the tools for him to make them.

We basically showed up and took over the kitchen. Fiks and D left to go get a couple of thing that we thought my parents had but didn’t. I sat with Mom on the sofa and watched the dog show that was on. We chatted while we were watching about different things. After the dog show I found Poppa’s favorite Christmas movie, Elf, and I put that on for him and Mom. I don’t know why, but that movie just tickles his funny bone. Whatever works, right?

While Fiks was finishing up his pretzels I started working on dinner and basically only stopped for a video chat with my Cousin. And even then I was still running back and forth to the kitchen. The family chatted with her for about 10 minutes before she needed to go to bed because it was midnight her time. Oh, my Sister, who said she was going to help, showed up at 4. There wasn’t much left to do besides make the biscuits at that point so she just sat around and complained that we were going to be eating during the 49ers game at the rate I was going. Whatever. Here’s the spread Fiks, D, and I made for everyone, minus the turkey I realize from uploading the photos for this.

Poppa poured Fiks, D, myself and himself some prosecco to go with dinner and then we dug in. Everyone was quiet so it had to be good. I felt bad that some things had gotten cold, and everyone told me it was fine, so that was nice. Once we were done we went and sat down and watched the 49ers game, and I curled up on the sofa and dozed because I was fucking exhausted. We watched the 49ers play the Seahawks for the first half, and came home at half time. We said goodbye to Mom and Poppa, and my Sister, and piled in the car and came home.

Once we were home I got changed into my pj’s and curled up on the sofa with the second Ghostbusters movie on. Fiks jumped on the computer and D puttered around on his laptop. I apparently fell asleep because Fiks asked me a question and I was like “Huh, what?” “Never mind.” I stayed awake and finished the movie and then I put it on Game Changer once the movie was done, because I knew both of the boys like that show. I watched it for a while before saying goodnight and going to bed.

I slept okay last night. I still woke up a few times even after taking a heavy knock out pill, which is frustrating. I woke up once and got something to drink and went back to bed. I woke up to Fiks curing out his phone this morning and having him tell me to go back to sleep. I slept until almost 9, when I woke up to a Duolingo invite from D, so I lied in bed for 10 minutes doing that before going out into the living room finding D awake and watching more Game Changer. I got my shake and sat down and watched it.

I got a text from my hair dresser and we talked for a little bit before deciding to move my hair appointment to tomorrow morning. I’m doing this to my hair. My Sister is going to be pissed, but I think its going to be cool and a lot of fun.

I worked on some math homework for a while, and then I worked on the quiz, needing to give my brain a little bit of a break. Then D put on How To Train Your Dragon and I started working on this. I basically had a lazy day all day, which was nice. I did some homework. D and I watched TV and movies until Fiks came home.

I slept okay last night once I got there. But I had a very hard time getting there. But once I was there I was fine until my alarm went off. I kissed Fiks goodbye and went back to sleep. I woke up and got something to eat because I forgot to put shakes in the fridge, and I watched big bang as I woke up. When it was time I went and got dressed and headed down to the garage to get my Starbucks order and head to my hairdresser. Then I got a text from him he was running late which was fine. I went to turn over the truck to go get my order and it wouldn’t start. I tried numerous times and nothing, just clicking. So I went to my AAA app and ordered some help. It was going to take 45 minutes to get someone (roughly), but that quickly turned into 15, so that was nice. I went outside when the guy pulled up and he helped me get the truck started. Said I should run it for 20 minutes before turning it off. I called Poppa and told him what was going on before going and getting my order and heading down into town.

I got to the salon and just chilled in my truck letting the engine run until I saw my stylist then I turned off the truck and went inside. I hung out until he was ready and then we went back to his spot and started the madness. It didn’t turn out well like the picture, so we’re going to redo it next Saturday.

I went and saw Fiks afterwards and hung out with him for a little bit before going to visit my parents for a while. I got some cherry pie and put some meds in the dogs ears before heading home. I tried swinging by the pharmacy but it was closed, so no meds for me.

I came home and flopped on the sofa for a while. I introduced D to Ghostbusters Afterlife which I still thoroughly enjoy and he did too. We watched something afterwards and he went and took a nap so I put on big bang and rested for a while. Looking back I should have done some math homework.

Okay, it’s almost time for D&D so I’m going to order some food for us and call it a week..
