Hi, and welcome to week 14!

I slept pretty well last night, I got into bed late because of gaming, but I don’t remember waking up at all until about 830-9, which is really good for me. I got up after Fiks and went and had a few cookies to eat for breakfast so I could take my meds. Then I snuggled down on the sofa and watched some Bones, and dozed to that for a while before getting up and getting dressed for Easter Lunch. Fiks hung up some laundry and took a shower and then we loaded up into the truck and drove to my Brother’s house.

We were the first ones there, and helped my Niece dye some eggs for the egg games that were planned for later in the day. My Sister showed up next, and then told us that Mom wasn’t feeling well, so she was taking a rest, but they told us to go ahead and eat, so we did. My Brother made Strata with cinnamon raisin bread, cream cheese, apple, and egg. And he made a Fertitta of egg and mushrooms and onions. I ate the bread and apples from the Strata and the cream cheese, leaving the big hunks of egg behind. Then he broiled some Skirt Steak which was delicious. My Sister called my Parents and Mom said she wasn’t good enough to do go over, so we decided to take the party to them. Fiks and I left to grab our grocery bags and then headed down the mountain.

We got there okay, I turned around and parked behind the F350 in an effort to hide it from egg attacks. Then Fiks and I went inside and said hi to Mom, Poppa, and Lumi. I sat down and talked with Mom for a while, then I helped Poppa make Mai-Tai’s for him, Fiks, and my Brother. Everyone else showed up during this time. My Brother made a dish of a little of everything for Mom and Poppa, and she ate a good part before handing it over. We watched some TV and then when Poppa was done eating we all went outside to play egg games.

We got Mom settled in the chair so she wouldn’t roll away, then my Sister made us do a few egg on spoon races, giving Poppa and my Niece a head start, and slowing down my Brother and Fiks. The boys caught up to my Niece and Poppa almost every time, so we did the best of 3, and my Niece won the last one and was very proud of herself. Then we started tossing eggs around between us, and I was standing next to Mom to catch any wild throws and to help her out. She did really good for sitting down, and amazingly so did my Sister. My Sister caught more than she has before, had very few eggs destroyed around her. That went to my Brother because my Niece kept throwing them at him when they were falling apart.

After throwing 59 eggs at each other (should have been 60 but 1 died before boiling) we went back inside and all of us sat down. We watched 3 Zootopia+ shorts before we said our goodbyes and Fiks and I headed to the grocery store. We got what we needed and what we didn’t but we are going to make rice crispy treats for when Fiks’ little brother, D, comes down this week. We hit up Panda Express on our way home, and then watched some YouTube videos before doing our chores and helping my Sister with hers since she’s still in a boot. Then I went and took a shower and started working on this.

I got to sleep in today and it was wonderful. I had a lazy wake up and a pretty lazy morning. I just watched TV and was basically on the sofa most of the day. But I did get to watch a movie with my cousin, which I really have missed. We watched Big Hero 6 with her boys and then when that was done I ended up putting Bones back on. I moved some laundry (because I needed the scrubs for work tomorrow). Fiks played on his computer most of the day, and yeah, most of the day was pretty cool.

I went and tried something new and exciting today…

Yup, I went and tried kickboxing. And I loved it 💕 I had so much fun even though I am very out of shape. It was me and 2 other people and the trainer, so it was almost like a 1 on 1 session, which I enjoyed. The other girls were really nice to me and encouraging, saying it gets easier with time. Its 2 minute rounds which you break down into 15 seconds and change the drills. I learned my punches and kicks, and just had fun. The music that was going was a good tempo/beat to keep with. I started getting tired at the end and needed more time between rounds, but I had a blast. I came home and Fiks was gaming with his Monday group, and asked how it went. I told him that I had a really good time and that I’m going to go again, maybe on Wednesday. I finished dinner when I sat down (procuitto flat bread pizza), and then I watched Bones until I went and took a shower before hopping into bed.

I didn’t sleep the best last night, I ended up moving to the sofa because I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t want to wake up this morning. But I got up and had my protein shake for breakfast and watched The Simpsons for a little bit before going and getting dressed. I kissed Fiks goodbye and made my lunch before hopping in the truck and heading down the mountain to work.

I got to work okay, and worked on the very long call back list (2 calls), and left a message on one persons voicemail. Of course that would be the patient that the Doctor wanted the update on. 🙄 Bloody typical. And I never got a call back from the owner, so I don’t know if the Doctor called them or what. The day went mostly okay, just a few things that annoyed me at the time that I now can’t remember what they were. Oh, I got dog poop all over me, I had to change into my backup scrubs and then wash my original scrubs twice before getting them back. I was able to get off a work a little early, so I texted Fiks that I was on the way home, and he said that he and his brother D, and his friend B, were heading to Target. So I decided to meet them there and maybe do some shopping. Well, I found them before I did any shopping, so I didn’t get anything. But we got what the boys needed and then we came home. I was very grateful to hop into the hot shower and get that smell out of my nose before coming out and then we decided on where to go for dinner.

We went to a restaurant in town that we haven’t been to in a very long time – its Cambodian food and it is sooo good. Unfortunately D didn’t enjoy what he ordered, I offered some of mine up but he didn’t want any. We went and got the boys beer after we were done with dinner, then we went and got ice cream. I got a scoop of blood orange and a scoop of bitter caramel with toasted marshmallow fluff. After everyone had their ice cream of choice we made our way home. We all hung out for a little while before I had to go to bed.

I slept pretty well last night, I only woke up for a few minutes once or twice, and one of those is when Fiks came to bed. I stayed in bed longer than I usually do because B was sleeping in the living room and I didn’t want to wake him up. I got up and got dressed and then I kissed Fiks goodbye before heading into the kitchen as quietly as I could to make lunch and get breakfast. I couldn’t really help with the noise of the garage opening, which sucks, but oh well.

I got to work okay, just a few minutes late. But between that and not doing my normal routine I got thrown off. I basically walked around feeling like a constant walking fuck up today. We had a surgery and a dental already planned, and we had one come on in as an appointment but the dog needed to be sedated for her paw to be worked on (she lanced it open on her walk this morning). One was a castration on a cat who clearly isn’t feeling 100%, and then we had the dental on a dog that we haven’t seen since we did a dental last year in July. But the owner wanted it done so we did it.

I was frustrated a lot today, besides with myself. G had to shadow me on every procedure and tell me what to do and look for. Once I’m up and going I’m fine, its just the set up that has me stumped because everyone does it differently. G said afterwards I’ve got to come up with my own order of how to do things, that it should make it easier and faster for me. So I guess I’ll try that next week. A was in a mood all day, which also didn’t help me or my mindset. When the last appointments for the day showed up early, I left. There was nothing else for me to do and I wanted a break and something to eat before going to kickboxing.

I came home and Fiks wanted to talk about computers, we had a friend who was selling one for a good price. I told him it was okay with me, so we went and got that and then got In-N-Out for dinner and then we just made our way home and he’s been working on the new computer ever since. I put on an episode of Bones and started working on this.

I forgot to keep up with this during the week, so I’m just going to leave it here.
