Right,
So we got back from Ireland last night and did Chinese for dinner. Fiks and I packed our little suitcase for our 2 days in London and went to sleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night to Fiks getting out of bed. When he didn’t come back I went and found him down stairs. He came back to bed and after a little bit I was able to fall back asleep.
I woke up to the alarm and snoozed it, wanting a little more sleep. Then I got a message from Cousin saying our taxi was showing up earlier than expected and we needed to get up and going. So I prodded the sleeping Fiks next to me and told him the situation. He got up and got dressed.
I got up and started to get changed when Nephew came running up yelling the sun is up so it’s time to play. I said I had to get dressed and closed the door. After some searching (and Fiks’ sharp eyes) I found all of my clothes and got dressed. I said that Nephew reminded me of a scene from Frozen at the beginning of the movie.
Things kind of got snappy and cranky after that. I told Fiks I was sorry for waking him up in the middle of the night, and I can’t seem to get pass it. Been having watery eyes and tears ever since.
We hopped into the waiting Uber, Fiks squishing himself in the back with me somehow and then Cousin and N climbed into the row in front of us. Then we took off for the train station.
Once we got there we unloaded ourselves and our stuff and made our way into the station with a quick stop at a Starbucks. All 4 of us eventually got our food and our drinks and then we went to the platform our train was meeting us on and waited for it to show up.
The train showed up and we boarded, found our seats and put our stuff away and sat down, enjoying our breakfasts. Minus the child screaming at the top of her lungs it was a fairly pleasant train ride. I dozed for a little bit, Fiks played on his Switch, and Cousin and N were chatting and on their phones.

We started sorting out our plan. Hotel, Eye, Wonder, Hotel, Theater. A few stops were planned along the way. Might have to do them tomorrow tho which is fine. We got to Kings Cross train station and went down to the underground. We hopped on a couple of tubes and got out at Waterloo. Then we started to waddle to the hotel.
We got to the hotel and asked if we could drop our bags off and they said our rooms were ready so we got our key cards and made our way to our rooms. After a footwear change for me we made our way to the London Eye.

We made our way through the que and had our photos taken and then we waited our turn to get onto a pod. We weren’t waiting long. Maybe 10 minutes. Then we loaded into a pod and our turn began.
We all ran around taking photos from the pod. Excellent views. It was a nice sunny slightly cloudy day.
After the ride on the eye we stopped for some lunch and then we went and got 99 ice creams. It’s soft serve ice cream in a cone with a chocolate flake in it. Sooooo good.
After our ice creams we walked along the Thames and waited to jump onto a jump on and off bus to do a tour of London and to see the sights. We were planning on going to Saint Paul’s Cathedral but we didn’t get off we just did the tour of London, grabbing a few of the sites.
We then made our way back to the hotel. Fiks and I stopped and window shopped at a few places before heading back. He jumped into the shower and I decided to walk down the block to the Chemist’s to get some hair supplies and I grabbed some nail polish too. Impulse buy. I made my way back to the hotel and Fiks let me back in the room, then it was my turn to get showered and dressed up. I even had time to do a quick paint job on my nails.
We met up with Cousin and N downstairs, where outside it was raining. We grabbed an uber and went to Nandos for dinner. After a few minutes we were seated and then we placed our orders.

Everyone else’s order showed up correctly but mine. I ordered breasts and they gave me wings, so I sent it back and then it was explained to me that the breasts would take 15-20 minutes to come out, but I was welcome to anything else if I didn’t want to wait. It was more like I didn’t want to make everyone else wait so I ordered half a chicken.

Once we were done with dinner we headed to the theater to see Back To The Future the Musical.
Cousin knew someone working there so we ran around trying to find person so she could say hi. We found her upstairs so they said hi and we bought programs off her then we went and found our seats.
The show was really good. I was worried Fiks wouldn’t be that into it but I’m glad to say that I was wrong. He was bouncing along to the songs and laughing and clapping along with the rest of us. When the songs came on that he knew he was singing along with them.

We gathered our things and made our way back to the hotel.

We got back to our room and turned on the TV. I found and passed out to who wants to be a millionaire. Fiks played on his Switch while I fell asleep. I think we both slept well. I woke up around 9 and then I woke Fiks up around 920, thinking check out was at 10. That was just the time Cousin wanted us to meet downstairs. We met downstairs and made our way across London.
We went to Harrods so I could get Mom a coffee mug. That store, for those who haven’t been, takes up an entire city block, has multiple floors, and a bad map of its layout. We wondered through accessories, jewelry, bakery, confectionery and a little bit of Christmas before finding the gift shop. Found a couple of things then I got lost trying to find the bathrooms.

I eventually found my way back and we headed outside. Cousin and N headed over to Kings Cross and Fiks and I headed to the London Dungeon. So much fun. They kept picking on Fiks for things. Then where they were doing strobe lighting or going darks for moments at a time they kept coming after me. Like they were trying to get a jump scare.
After the Dungeon we went into the aquarium next door. Don’t ask me why they are next to each other, I have no bloody clue. Not as cool as the Monterey Bay Aquarium but it held my attention enough that I had fun and forgot to take photos.
After the aquarium we popped into a restaurant for a late lunch early dinner, and I wasn’t impressed. I ate because I was hungry and knew I needed something so I wouldn’t start shaking. I wanted to get a London hoodie so we swung by a shop and picked one up, then Fiks said he wanted to go on the water, so I popped a Bonnie and on the water we went. We rode from the Eye down to Greenwich, and it wasnt too bad choppy wise.
We popped into a few shops and then we hopped on the train and then the tube and made our way back to Waterloo station and then to our hotel to pick up our suitcase. We wandered down spray paint alley, and I wish I had taken pictures. People were actively making art on the walls and it was fascinating. I’ve never been huge into graffiti art, but what was on the walls was amazing.
We found our way to Waterloo station and then made our way to Kings Cross. We hung out upstairs for a while. I worked on this and Fiks played on his phone. He also ran and got hot chocolate and pasties for us to eat. Since we were at Kings Cross we ran to platform 9 3/4 for a quick photo.

We waited for our platform to be announced and then practically ran to the train. But we found our carriage and our seats, so we’re all good and heading our way North to Leeds.
I’m going to call it for this adventure here. We’ve only got a few days left. I’m sure they’ll got by way to quickly. I don’t want to go just yet.
