I’m currently working on this while I have someone working on our fridge that I am pretty sure is dead and or dying. He’s currently working on melting the ice in the freezer to get to the wires so that he can see what is going on in there.
I’m not really experienced with Refrigerators dying, so I’m just going to take his word on what is going on.
I was meant to go and do horses today, but we kind of got rained out. It was drizzling up by the stables and it was meant to start raining at noon, so we canceled for today. It just means that Thursday is going to be super busy since it will only be my boss and myself.
I think that I am going to go to the gym today. Get a workout done to make up for the lack of horses in the day, and also just to start to get in the habit of going. I’ll take it easy at first, then hopefully get better as time goes on. I saw this little gif that I found hilarious, so here’s that little guy.
If only working out really worked like that! Just a quick go on the treadmill and everything would be fine. You’d loose weight, be happy, and have stars floating all around you.
I haven’t really done much else this morning. I worked on getting a book downloaded to my Kindle Fire. Its weird, it would read it directly from the book storage, but not the book storage on the extra 64 gig SD card. So that was slightly frustrating.
I’m going to try something new and share what books I am reading this year. I do the Goodreads challenge every year where you challenge yourself to read a certain number of books. I know that sometimes I get stuck in what trying to read next, so I figure that other people might have the same problem and would like some help in picking out books to read.
I’m currently reading A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab. Its the second in the series, the first one being A Darker Shade of Magic. Its the continuing story of Kell, who can travel between the three different London’s.
“Four months have passed since the shadow stone fell into Kell’s possession. Four months since his path crossed with Delilah Bard. Four months since Rhy was wounded and the Dane twins fell, and the stone was cast with Holland’s dying body through the rift, and into Black London.
In many ways, things have almost returned to normal, though Rhy is more sober, and Kell is now plagued by his guilt. Restless, and having given up smuggling, Kell is visited by dreams of ominous magical events, waking only to think of Lila, who disappeared from the docks like she always meant to do. As Red London finalizes preparations for the Element Games-an extravagent international competition of magic, meant to entertain and keep healthy the ties between neighboring countries-a certain pirate ship draws closer, carrying old friends back into port.
But while Red London is caught up in the pageantry and thrills of the Games, another London is coming back to life, and those who were thought to be forever gone have returned. After all, a shadow that was gone in the night reappears in the morning, and so it seems Black London has risen again-and so to keep magic’s balance, another London must fall.”
I’m also listening to The Rook by Daniel O’Malley. (Not O’Malley the Alley Cat from the Aristrocats. That’s all I can think of when I see his name.)
” “The body you are wearing used to be mine.” So begins the letter Myfanwy Thomas is holding when she awakes in a London park surrounded by bodies all wearing latex gloves. With no recollection of who she is, Myfanwy must follow the instructions her former self left behind to discover her identity and track down the agents who want to destroy her.
She soon learns that she is a Rook, a high-ranking member of a secret organization called the Chequy that battles the many supernatural forces at work in Britain. She also discovers that she possesses a rare, potentially deadly supernatural ability of her own.
In her quest to uncover which member of the Chequy betrayed her and why, Myfanwy encounters a person with four bodies, an aristocratic woman who can enter her dreams, a secret training facility where children are transformed into deadly fighters, and a conspiracy more vast than she ever could have imagined.”
So the guy who was working on out fridge just left. Said that a part died and has run out to get said part. But at least you can see the back of the freezer now.
So he returned with the part and put it all back together, hopefully we will have a fridge again in a couple of hours from now.
I went over to my parents place because Gucci was giving them a hard time. When they went out to go and change his blanket to a waterproof one he would just walk away from them and go out into the mud and rain. But when I went over he was fine and just stood for me while I changed his blanket. I did bribe him with some Mrs. Pastures horse cookies though. I also gave him his medicine and that was a little harder today. He was very spooky at us for some reason, and I think that he spat out one of his pills but I can’t be sure.
I think that’s it for the day. Just going to wait around and maybe watch some Rescue Me (which I got from my brother for my birthday present in December), or read until its time for the gym. Crossfit does classes, not an open gym. So I have to wait for the class time to start.
Just keep swimming!
