Hi from… Sunday I guess.

I had a good week at work, mostly. I did have to put animals in body bags, so that was slightly upsetting. Don’t want to do that again, I don’t think that’s my forte. And then last night we had a dog come in with a bloody ear who just bled everywhere. I was literally mopping up blood for over an hour. It was great. :: Forced grin ::

But I finally got to help a lot with the vet’s and the techs this week, so that was nice. I guess I’m earning my stripes and trust in my coworkers who are finally warming up to me. Oh, and there is this adorable as fu*k puppy up for adoption.

Anyway, since I can’t really talk about work that’s all I’m going to say about that.

My week went good, even if I was a little lazy. But I took Gucci for a walk one of my days off. True, he pushed me into the dirt and I had to get after him, but besides that he was really good. Sorry there aren’t a lot of photos for this week, I was giving Gucci a break from the camera and so I got out of the habit of whipping my phone out and taking photos. But you’ve all seen what Gucci looks like.

I ordered a new laptop for school, so I’m typing on that right now. And I put a sticker, well, now two, on it to distinguish mine from Fiks’s . Mines slightly newer and faster, so that’s cool. But I need it for school mostly, which is a lot of online classes, so it has to be good for the internet. And maybe some streaming.

Today is Poppa’s birthday, so were are getting dressed up for that and getting him a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes (Chocolate Chocolate Chip). And Mom and my Sister went and got a olallieberry pie yesterday from a fruit stand where they got artichokes. We got dressed and did a load of laundry and then we took off to go and pick up Poppa’s birthday cake and headed over to my parents house.

We went to my parents house, dropped of the cake and said hi to Gucci with a few carrots. Then we ran back out to Safeway to get Gucci some carrots and a few herbs and spices for Mom making roastie potatoes. Then we went back and worked on making dinner. Fiks and I worked on the roasites and then Fiks and Poppa went outside and worked on the steak. Well, that was after they worked on Poppa’s Lego train and track for a while. I forgot to get a photo/video of it going today, hopefully I’ll do it tomorrow.

I stayed in the kitchen with Mom and my Sister showed up right when we were done cooking and prepping, so she sat down and talked with us for a while. Then Fiks and Poppa came in with the steaks, so they started carving that up and oh my god it was amazing. Super tasty and practically fell apart in your mouth. Nom.

Then we talked a little about my job for a while after dinner, then we went into the living room and sat there and talked some more for a while. Then it was time to do Poppa’s cake.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake with different colored flame candles. Super cool and super tasty. Poppa said he thought he got the marble one, which I tried to talk him into but he wanted the chocolate when I was ordering. Mom backed me up on the trying to talk him into the marble cake. But the chocolate cake was still amazing, and still with cream cheese frosting or whatever their frosting is made of and is delicious.

They soon drifted into talking politics, and I started getting tired and cold, so Fiks and I said goodbye for the night. We ran over and said goodbye to Gucci and that we’d see him tomorrow, and then we made our way home. I’m currently watching Sabrina while Fiks plays Cyberpunk 2077.

I’m currently browsing through google photos looking for wallpapers to customize my laptop and just trying to do some homework which I need to go into work for because the information that I have doesn’t come with the questions that they are asking. I was able to do one of my assignments, so I have that turned in so its one less thing I have to worry about.

Fiks and I took a quick break to take out the garbage and recycling and to empty and fill up the dishwasher. During the process of putting stuff away Fiks broke one of his Glencairn’s, and of course it was the one with the family name and crest on it. Hopefully it’s easily replaceable.

I stayed up and tried to do some more homework, but I really had to focus on it and my brain just wasn’t in it. So I did some coloring instead.

I stayed up and had a nice cup of evening tea while watching some Big Bang Theroy.

I enjoyed that for most of the rest of the night. The cookie on top of the box is called a Tim Tam, its a cookie from Australia that I got Fiks for Christmas, its a good cookie if you can find them. We get them from Cost Plus World Market. Or you can find them on Amazon.

Any who, I went to bed around midnight and read my book for a while before falling asleep. I slept pretty well, only waking up once when I had kicked the blankets off me and I was cold. Then I woke up with my alarm to go and take Fiks’ car to the dealership over the hill. We had a quick breakfast and headed over to drop the car off. On our way back I had my doctors appointment which went pretty well. I told her I got a new job and that I was happy there. It was basically just a check in, so it was a fast phone call.

We got home and I moved the laundry and brought it up to the bedroom. I sat down on the bed, and then I lied down on the bed, and then I passed out apparently. I woke up with blankets on me and my stuffed Gucci in my arms. I didn’t start that way, so I think that Fiks came in and covered me up. I woke up a couple hours later and turned on Big Bang Theory to type to this. I tried sticking another a sticker on, but its too big unless I put it on sideways and I don’t want to do that, it won’t look good. And I don’t want to have a giant crease in it. So I’ll have to find something else to stick it on.

I ordered myself a jamba juice and hung out until it was meant to be ready. I kissed Fiks goodbye and headed down to get my jamba and head to my parents house. Well, my Jamba wasn’t waiting so I had to wait for them to get around to making it. And they didn’t have the sourdough pretzels, so I got 2 waffles in replacement. They were good. Once I was Jamba’d I went to my parents house to say hi to Gucci. He was happy to see me but wouldn’t put his ears forwards today.

I went inside and said hi to Mom, Poppa, and Lumi (who got in trouble at dog school, again). We sat down and ate our lunches and then Poppa and I went outside and pasted Gucci and took off his blanket. I was going to hang out for a while when my phone when off reminding me of a college appointment, so I ran and jumped into the truck and then made my way home.

I got home and put the garbage cans away and then I went and waited for my phone appointment. At first I thought I had the day and time wrong, but no, the councilor was running late. So first we chatted on the phone for a few minutes then we did a conference over the computer. That took the better part of an hour. They are really pushing for me to join the classes on Feb 22nd, but I don’t think I can do 3 schools and work full time and maintain my sanity. I have 2 other options to join later this year. If we are able to travel I will go at the October class, otherwise I’ll start the one in June.

I moved out to the living room and tried to start working on my homework, but I can’t seem to focus on it. So I put on some more Sabrina and fell asleep again. I woke up in time for the last half of the last episode, and then we started cooking dinner. Which I forgot to take a photo of. Again. Sorry, I’m bad this week. Hopefully I will remember to do it tomorrow.

I was sitting on the sofa when my parents wanted me to go over to my Sister’s for a bit. So I left Fiks for a while and went over to my Sister’s house. I basically sat with Lumi and kept him from chasing after the kittens and trying to shift his focus from them when he would lock on. We watched the new Toy Story short, which was cute. Then I got some Olailberry pie and headed back home and watched Deadpool while Fiks was busy gaming. He’s still gaming as I type this, making loud noises.

I slept okay last night, waking up once around 3. And we either slept through my alarm or it didn’t go off, I can’t decide which. I remember adjusting the time for it last night, but I’m not 100% sure if I set it. We quickly got dressed and headed to the grocery store. I didn’t need any music because I had Fiks with me, so that was nice. Then we went over to my parents house and said hi to Gucci and put the cold and frozen stuff in the fridge/freezer.

He was excited to see us. When we went inside we said hi to Mom and Lumi, Poppa getting cleaned up upstairs. Other Mother called so I chatted with her for a few minutes about horses and the new job before eating some left over birthday cake for breakfast. Then we went and took Gucci for his walk and his graze.

Nom Nom Nom… Until…

Something happened in the field next door. Maybe the spooky balloons moved in the tree, I don’t know because my back was to it taking his photos. We then walked back to his stall and I put medicine on his hoof. The hole seems to be getting worse, not better. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I want it better for when the farrier shows up next week. But I doubt it’ll improve that fast.

We went back inside and watched some Secrets of the Zoo for a little while during which Poppa and Fiks played with Poppa’s train.

Afterwards we went out and pasted Gucci who was a good boy for it. We went back inside and said our goodbyes and grabbed our stuff from the fridge and freezer and made our way home. On our way home the Home Chef box got dropped off, so we had that waiting for us when we pulled up and unloaded. I parked the truck and sat in it for a little bit, needing a minute to gather myself because I could feel myself being grumpy/losing my temper at Fiks over stupid little things.

Fiks came and got me out of the truck and we unpacked the groceries and the box and then we made ourselves lunch with the last meal from last week because we have a scallop dish we need to cook tonight. We made that and then met up with my Cousin and did a quick chat before starting the movie of the week: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.

We were able to watch most of it before heading out to take Fiks to the dentist, he doesn’t have his car back yet. After talking a bit in the parking lot and him going in to his appointment, I went to CVS on the hunt for my melatonin sleeping gummies and they had the nerve to be out, but I did get Fiks his 9V batteries he was wanting. On a off chance I decided to swing by Walgreens to see if they had my melatonin, and they did. Even had it on sale, so I got 2 boxes and went back to pick Fiks up from the dentist. Then we went to the little market in town and got some things there I couldn’t get at Safeway this morning.

We came home and finished the movie and Fiks took down the Christmas lights and put the outside Christmas things away in the basement. I worked on taking the ornaments off the tree, so the tree is now naked but still needs to be taken down all the way. I put on Sherlock Holmes (2009) to watch in the background as I worked on the tree and on this.

Once the movie was over we started on our dinner, scallop pasta. It was very good. It took (what felt like) forever to get the water to boil, but then we were able to start cooking and get it all going. Didn’t take too long to merge them together and then we had dinner.

I kept watching Big Bang Theory and Fiks started playing Cyberpunk 2077.

I think that’s going to be it for this week. I start work tomorrow, for tonight I’ll be staying up late so I’ll be sleeping in late so I can stay up late.

I actually made snickerdoodle cookies for dessert. They didn’t last long. I’ve watched some Big Bang Theory and now I just put on Spirited Away. I’m going to call it a night from here.
