For those of you who don’t follow hockey, the Sharks lost the first round to the Penguins last night. Boo. But it was towards the end of the third period after scoring 2 goals. So it was still a good game. But it means it’s an uphill battle from here. But since people were predicting that the Sharks would win in 6 games I guess we had to lose one somewhere. But I’m still hopeful. Honestly I’m just happy and proud that the Sharks had made it this far.
I actually slept last night. Yay.
I took my new medicine earlier in the evening so it had longer to kick in. It seemed to work. I think it might just need longer to work. I also used the Calm app and did a meditation before I turned on my audio book to go to sleep. So it could have been that too. But I’m just happy that I slept.
Oh, I finally finished my fishy yesterday. Look. Look at my fishy!
Day 11: 15 favorite things and 10 songs from my music player

Back to everyday life…
I was meant to have a doctor’s appointment today, but they called and canceled. The doctor was going home sick. So I decided to use my energy in a positive way and go to the gym. I missed my morning workout class, but that didn’t mean anything. The gym is open all day and you don’t have to take a class. That’s what I really like about it. Where at a gym like Crossfit you have to wait for the next class in order to work out. That doesn’t work for me. When I want to work out its best for me to do it there and then.
So anyway, I jumped on the elliptical for 20 minutes and listed to The Rift because I haven’t downloaded any music on my phone since I updated it on Friday. And I watched a bit of The Price Is Right, because that’s what was on the TV in front of me. I guess the bike riding has been doing good because I found a good pace and I covered 2.89 miles in 20 minutes. That might not be the best time ever, but its good for me and that is what matters. That and the fact that I actually went to the gym and worked out.
After that I went over and saw Gucci who was a dust ball. The white on his belly was brown from all the dust he had rolled in. And he was super happy with himself for doing a good job. I spent a good half hour grooming him all by myself. Which is nice because I don’t always get that when I need it. I can just lose myself in the brush strokes and being calm around him. I eventually turned the brown back to white on his belly, and his dark brown coat back to his light liver chestnut shade.
He wasn’t into having his photo taking today.
When I came home for lunch I decided to do some coloring. I wanted to work on this little color it in poster that my mom got me. It’s just been sitting in the corner staring at me for a couple of weeks. Well, since before Darkshore so about a month. I wanted to use pens again, and the paper is thicker so the ink hasn’t bled through.
The flowers lined in gold are going to stay white for my birth flower, the Yorkshire Rose. The red one will be the Tudor Rose, and the blue one down in the corner will be mixed with black for an Officer Down Rose. I haven’t decided what color the other flowers will be. It’ll just happen.
After sitting around coloring for a while I decided to tackle the stack of dirty dishes sitting in the sink. Its a never ending battle. You clean them and then, somehow they magically become dirty again. How does that happen? One of my friends had a brilliant idea a few years ago. Have 2 dishwashers! So you have clean dishes in one and then just put the dirty dishes in the second and so there never is a pile up. Brilliant and lazy. I like that. But anyway, the only dishwasher I have is my hands. So I started cleaning while having music playing, and that made it seem better. I would clean to the beat of the music with the songs. It made it go quicker too. And now I feel like I’ve done something productive at home, which helps make me feel better.
I’ve done positive things for myself. I went to the gym, I’ve done my coloring, and I did something in the apartment. The negative thoughts can just shut up for the rest of the day.
Just keep swimming
