Hi from Monday!

Monday was a holiday here in the states, Memorial Day. Its the day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, 2 and 4 legged.

Fiks came back Monday morning and met me at my parents house. I was already there unloading feed and spending some time with Gucci. I let him graze for a bit while poppa was talking to me, and then I fly sprayed him because the flies were after his legs really bad, and I put his fly mask on.

Fiks and I came home after a little while, and we ended up doing laundry and taking a nap. We were going to go see a movie but we couldn’t decide on which one we wanted to see and what time we wanted to see it. It was between Avengers: Infinity Wars, Deadpool 2, or Solo. Fiks said that Infinity Wars had been spoiled for him, so his drive to see it was low. Silly Fiks.

I actually slept Monday night, which was nice. It was nice waking up with Fiks there in the middle of the night. I slept so good I had a hard time waking up Tuesday morning. I moved from the bed to the couch, put on some Doctor Who, and fell back asleep for an episode or two. My parents called and woke me all the way up around 11, so that was good.

I made my way down to work after getting dressed and walked into the bank and was shocked by what I saw. They had said that the bank was going to go under reconstruction, but I wasn’t ready for how much they had done. The floors were gone, old walls were gone, new ones were put in. The door to the back was moved, you could see metal scaffolding, and the ceiling. And the place where I normally stand was gone. I was so sad. So I took up a new post by the door on the opposite side of where I used to be. It was interesting to watch people come in and see their reactions. Some stopped and looked around, some kept moving and didn’t notice. I’m sure there are other reactions but I’m just not remembering them.

Work went fine. We had the construction crew make their way in at 5, and had some customers try to come in after 5, and I had to explain that we were closed despite the door being open for the construction crew. We spent the evening watching Chopped and The Big Bang Theory. I joked that Amy stole my wedding dress for the show, and Fiks’ was like ‘Uh, no. That’s not your dress. What century are we getting married in?’.

Wednesday started off kinda early for me on a day off. But I had things to do. So I made my way over to my parents house and said good morning to Gucci and walked in and said hi to my parents. After a little bit mom and I hopped in her car and drove over to my doctors office where I had an appointment at 1030. That went fine. I’m going to try and keep track of what I want to talk to her about, since my mind went totally blank after like 5-7 minutes of talking.

After that we drove over to the bridal shop where I fell in love with my dress. We went back so I could try it on again and possibly order it. Well, I still loved it. We figured out what shade of white I wanted (Oyster, because it gives me color), how long it’ll take to make (up to 7 months), and then how long it’ll take for alterations (2 -3 months). So we decided to order it today because we are sitting on 11 months, and if everything takes long I’ll only have a month with my dress. Eeek! So…

So now my dress is ordered. Yay. One less thing to worry about. I apparently have to find shoes before my fitting, but considering that will be sometime next year, I think I’ll be fine.

After that Mom and I went to Costco and ran around looking for stuff. I ended up getting some of my groceries there, and mom did too. Then we made the way back to my parents house. I gave Gucci a couple of carrots when we got back and then I had to leave to go to the grocery store to get what I didn’t get at Costco.

Fiks came home and we had easy dinner, left overs. He saw the photo above and was curious if he’d get to see the dress, I said nope. Not until the wedding. Because I wanted to surprise him at the same time as everyone else, and no, I didn’t care that we had to have 2 photographers.

When I went to bed I stole his beer. It took him 20 minutes to come to me to find it. He was rather into his one punch man manga apparently.

I didn’t sleep good Wednesday night. Especially after Fiks came to bed. Normally I can just fall back to sleep but last night I couldn’t. I lied in bed listening to Harry Potter for a while and then I came out to the living room, put on a movie, and finally passed out. For a little while. I had people wanting my attention first thing this morning, so I woke up early, had some breakfast, put on Sherlock and nodded off and on between texts and messages.

I wasn’t feeling good, nauseated again, tired, and my head hurt. I really didn’t want to go into work, but I took my 2 anxiety pills and made it out the door just in time to hit traffic. Its a good thing I left early because it took me 20 minutes to do what I normally do in 5-6 minutes. I found a decent parking spot and went into work.

All but 1 of the big dumpsters were out of the parking lot, they had done more work since I had been there on Tuesday. The day went mostly fine. I busted a button off while bending over to pick something up. Can we say embarrassing? At least I’m still loosing weight, so that’s a good thing.

Friday was busy as hell. It was the first along with the first Friday of the month, so everyone was coming in. I talked to the person who does the negotiations with my security company. He was saying how my Tuesday and Thursday location love me and want me to go full time there and was asking if I was interested in it. I said yes, I was. He said he’d talk to my boss, so we’ll see what happens. But the rest of the day was just plain busy. Lots of people using the coin machines, just a lot of people. Fiks came by to say goodbye before he left for the weekend again, he was going to The Firestone Walker Beer Festival. After work I went over to my parents house for dinner and to say hi to Gucci. I gave him his alfalfa for dinner and he was happy with that. I came home and just watched junk TV until it was bedtime.

I didn’t get to sleep until midnight, but then I was passed out until my alarm went off at 7am. I got ready for work and it was working up to being a warm day, already sitting at 63 degrees when I pulled into work. I got all my stuff and went into my booth and discovered that the keys for the vehicle and the cell phone were gone. So I had to do my patrols in my truck. No biggie, I’ve done it before. But I didn’t want to get in trouble for not answering the cell phone if it rang, so I texted my boss and told her it wasn’t there. I never did get a response from her…

It was another super busy day at work. And I just couldn’t get people to stop for me. I would stick my arm out and they would think I was waving at them. Sigh. So I kinda got fed up and stopped trying to stop people. I read my book and talked with Fiks and Bill the nun most of the afternoon.

I spent the evening with my mom and my sister. We went out for pizza and then came back to my sisters place and watched the Steve Martin Martin Short Special on Netflix. I thought it was funny as hell, my mom and my sister not so much. Or if they did enjoy it as much as I did they didn’t laugh as much as I. My order of Save the Dates showed up while we were at pizza. So I opened the box and showed them off to my family. They thought that they were cute and would work well.

I didn’t sleep super well Saturday night. Shock, I know, right? I really didn’t want to go into work in the morning, debated calling out and just staying in bed. But I got up and went anyways. It wasn’t nearly as hot today as it was yesterday, which was nice. I had more people stop for me most of the day. But I mostly had people who had the passes for the golf club/HOA, so I didn’t really need to stop a lot of people either. Well, I did in the afternoon, and I did try, just didn’t work out.

Fiks came home while I was at work and had picked up a little gift for me from our friend Deimos. I am now the proud owner of and Ood. I can only assume that means David Tennant is going to show up at some point.

We had dinner over at my sisters place. It was garlic burgers, and they were so good. My brother, his wife, and daughter came over for dinner too.
