Hi from Monday everyone!

I was lazy and didn’t get out of bed until 10 am, and then I just flopped on the sofa and watched TV. So lazy morning for me. But I did talk to my cousin in Europe who got our save the date card, which honestly got there faster than I thought it would. If you remember I only posted them on Wednesday, and it got there by Monday. Not bad, not bad at all.

Fiks is working in our town this week, so he came home for lunch. We sat together and watched Classic Top Gear while he ate his lunch. When he left I left after him and drove over to my parents place to visit Gucci and hang out with my mom for a while. I got Gucci out and gave him a good brushing and fly sprayed him. We went out into the field and found a little bit of grass to munch on even. So I like to think that he had a good time with me.

Mom and I went to Ross on the hunt for socks for me. I’ve seem to have run out of thin sport socks which I like to wear with my sneakers. Ended up getting more than socks, but that’s okay. Then we went to go and feed our friends horse Smoke. I’ve fed him before and shown you photos of him. He whinnied after we got out of the truck, and was wanting his dinner.

After feeding Smoke I took mom back home and talked with her and poppa for a little while, then I came home. I worked on sending out the Darkshore XXI donation photos for a while. I need Fiks’ help. I don’t know everyone I took photos of and their names are not in the same order as I took the photos in, so I only sent out the photos that I knew the people of. And I had emails bounce back already, so I’m waiting to hear back from the recipients for their correct email addresses.

Tuesday went fine. I woke up on time to get to work even though I didn’t sleep well Monday night. Everything went fine at work too, so that was nice. Let just hope it stays that way for the rest of the week. Fiks was awesome and had dinner (chicken tacos) ready and waiting for me when I got home. Oh, we also made rice crispy treats for desert. Nom nom nom.

Wednesday went alright. I went and got my truck smog tested, which only took like 10 minutes, so that was nice. I then went to the grocery store and walked around lip sincing to the Sing soundtrack, I haven’t listened to that one in a while. I went over to my parents and poppa and I unloaded the feed that I had got earlier, just a bale of hay and 3 bales of shavings.

I wasn’t really sure what to do with Gucci today, so I just brushed him and gave him a fly spraying. Apparently he’d already gotten into trouble this morning, going into where we keep the hay and trying to eat the bale of alf-alfa that was there. I wish that I had a place to ride or work him so that I could get him in shape and do something different with him.

On my way home one of my bosses called me and informed me that I’d be working the 4th of July. I’ve kinda been dreading getting that phone call, I was hoping that they would have forgotten about me if I just stayed quiet, but that wasn’t the way unfortunately. I did request to work in our city, so we’ll see if that happens or not.

We made Rice Crispy Treats Wednesday night. We added some honey to the mix.

I didn’t really take a lot of photos this week, and I’m sorry about that. But Thursday went well. One of my supervisors came by and showed me how to do the ‘tags’ that are spread throughout the property. It takes my half hour patrol into over an hour one, which is kind of frustrating, but I’m learning to deal with it.

Friday was good. I went into work and saw that people were dressed up in soccer (football, for the rest of  the world), and that they had little pop up nets and soccer balls. At one point they even played soccer inside the bank.

Saturday was okay. I had to train the new hire for the golf course/home owners association for 4 hours today. Well, more like 5. I showed her the tags the first patrol, and then we went and were stopping people at the gate and handing out these stupid new flyers that say the speed limit is 25 mph and is strictly enforced.

Sunday was a nice change. I didn’t go into work because we had a wedding reception for one of our friends at noon. So I got to sleep in and snuggle with Fiks, which was nice. That hardly ever happens. I even wore my haunted mansion dress. The reception was nice and low key. It was a BBQ at one of the local parks, and there were people there I knew and some that I didn’t. But that’s okay. I mostly stayed with the people I knew just because I knew them.

After the reception we came home and I tried to work on the Darkshore Photos again, and Fiks is currently passed out on the couch snoring. I need him to identify people for me!
